A more subtle way of celebrating Ayr's most famous poet Robert Burns,
a verse from Burn's Whisky drink was carved into a set of granite steps
outside the Tam O' Shanter pub in Ayr.

O whiskey! soul o’plays
an' pranks! accept
a bardies gratff u’
thanks! when wanting
thee what tuneless cranks
are my poor verses!
