A 300 metre typographic pavement connecting the new railway station
with the sea front. The path is a part of Tern, an arts based regeneration
project, the theme of which is the abundant bird life of Morecambe Bay
(also see Stone Jetty and Eric Morecambe Memorial Area).

The content ranges from the book of Genesis to Shakespeare to Spike
Milligan, Burns and Milton. Constructed from granites, concretes, stainless
steel, brass and bronze. The manufacture saw the development of new
techniques that pushed the latest technology to its limits.
