Tern is an arts led regeneration project for Morecambe. As part of the
coastal defense project, Morecambe's original jetty was reconstructed
and extended. Working with landscape architect Ann Kelly, ideas were
developed for connecting the 300 metre long jetty with the promenade.
Based on the theme of birdlife, a variety of games such as hop-scotch,
word puzzles, tongue twisters and a maze were created from recycled
granite, marble, coloured concrete and bronze.
